Community Impact:
Proceeds from donations will help CORE El Centro to provide integrative natural health services to over 1,000+ Milwaukeeans focused on empowerment, healing, safety, and reducing barriers to access. We primarily serve families in the 53204/53215 zip codes where residents experience disproportionate rates of stress (predisposing them to an array of health issues) and a lack of healthy food outlets and resources. This year, we aim to serve:
- 800 adults receiving holistic natural therapies to treat disease, pain, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issue (including unique programs for survivors of crime and individuals battling cancer)
- 400 adults receiving one-on-one Health Navigation support
- 550 children and adults participating in group health and wellness education and recreation
- 1,500+ neighbors with information about mental and physical health services and neighborhood safety projects (via our partners Mujeres con Poder).
Most of our clients live on less than $23,000/year for a family of 3-5. CORE El Centro is a nonprofit, so our fundraising efforts enable us to provide services adjusted to the income and needs of families.
